IQ-EQ completes French AIFM offering

IQ-EQ has been granted a real estate alternative investment fund management (AIFM) licence in France, building on its existing AIFM service offering in the country.

This allows the firm to provide its full suite of services to real estate structures in the country, and act as a third-party AIF management company for real estate investment firms aiming to raise capital in Europe via France.

Fémy Mouftaou leads this arm of the business as head of fund management, overseeing securitisation, private equity and real estate departments in France.

IQ-EQ already provides real estate services across Europe, the US and Asia, offering end-to-end support services for the asset lifecycle and establishing and administering holding structures.

Commenting on the licence, Mouftaou says: “Europe represents the world’s second-largest pool of capital after the US, making it a highly appealing target for non-EU alternative investment fund managers. We’re seeing increasing interest from our clients in Asia and the US in marketing their funds to professional investors in the EU.

“The French alternatives sector in particular has shown resilience in spite of the ongoing market volatility — making France a key growth market for IQ-EQ.”
